Abstract
AbstractIn I967 C. G. Thomson's main collection of Coleoptera was brought back to Sweden from Berlin. It contains about I5,000 specimens of about 3000 species, and it is now preserved at the Zoological Institute of the Lund University, together with Thomson's duplicate collection. Thomson was the author of 329 new names of Coleoptera. 32I of these were described from Sweden or Norway, and for the selection of lectotypes, the original material of 300 of his Scandinavian species is now available in Lund, either in the former Berlin collection or in the duplicate collection. Fourteen original species descriptions were found to have been published earlier or later than generally quoted.
