Abstract

Abstract A new species of intertidal mangrove crab, Parahelice christophi, is described from two specimens collected from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The new species can be distinguished from congeneric species by differences in the form of the suborbital ridge, carapace, chelae and male gonopod. It is the eighth species recognised in this genus. A new key to Parahelice spp. is provided.
