Abstract

Design standards in the field of construction that have been decided by the Ministry of Construction are prepared based on European standards adapted to the conditions in Vietnam. The application of the new standards is following a specified roadmap. The process of drafting and gathering comments is currently undertaken to complete the final versions. In this article, the authors present some remaining challenges related to structural and geotechnical design standards developed by the Institute of Building Science and Technology, along with proposed solutions to enhance the application process.
