Abstract
Steel-concrete composite columns are the main load-bearing structures in high-rise buildings. The calculation, design, and inspection of composite columns have also been presented in a number of documents on composite structures. However, to have a complete design process with different types of cross-sections and to compare and predict the load-bearing capacity of composite columns with different cross-sections is not available or not complete. This paper presents the calculation, design, and inspection process of steel-concrete composite columns with different cross-sections. Perform an example of calculating and inspecting steel-concrete composite columns. Draw interaction diagrams of composite columns with different cross-sections, thereby evaluating and comparing the load-bearing capacity of columns with different cross-sections when subjected to bending and compression. Survey the load-bearing capacity when changing the parameters of the column, from which a reasonable column cross-section can be selected when designing composite columns subjected to bending and compression.
