Abstract
The inheritance of wrinkled seed of peas (Pisum sativum L.) was studied in the F1, F2, and F3 generations of crosses involving the wrinkled seeded varieties Br. 2-10-6, P.I. 116844C, P.I. 195024C, P.I. 210601 and P.I. 210665, and the round seeded variety P.I. 206823. It was concluded that Br. 2-10-6, P.I. 116844C, P.I. 195024C, and P.I. 210601 have the classical r gene for wrinkled seed and that wrinkling in P.I. 210665 is the result of two partly recessive genes. The latter both differ from the r gene. Complex ratios occurred in the F2 and F3 generations of crosses involving P.I. 210665 and other wrinkled parents.
