S. glauca is an abundant weed in British Columbia and in agricultural areas east of the Great Lakes. It is increasing in the eastern Prairie provinces. S. verticillata is most abundant in southern Ontario and southern Quebec. Details of the morphology, reproductive biology, response to parasites and methods of control for both species are presented, including new data.Key words: Yellow foxtail, bristly foxtail, Setaria, weeds
