Abstract
Koeleria gracilis Pers. is a common grass in the native grasslands of the Prairie Provinces. It occurs in all but the wet and saline grasslands, and persists in grassy openings in the forest areas. Data on its morphology, variability, phenology, ecology, and importance as a forage grass are presented.
