Abstract
This study has shown that the telemetric system can be used to test the winterhardiness of woody plants and that the results are correlated with those obtained by the resistivity method where the Wheatstone bridge is used. Telemetry, however, is capable of continuous monitoring of large numbers of electric measurements in a digital form suitable for subsequent computer analysis. Thus, in addition to being a great labor saving device, telemetry also indicates new possibilities for large scale testing of unknown factors affecting the winter injury of outdoor plants.
