Abstract
Barley-based diets, containing 13.3% soybean meal or 40.0% lentils, were fed over the period from 25 to 90 + kg liveweight. Supplementation with 0.1% DL-methionine improved performance and carcass characteristics of lentil-fed pigs to the level of those receiving soybean meal diets.
