Abstract
Assiniboine poplar is a male clone which is suitable for farmstead shelterbelt planting on the Canadian prairies. The poplar has superior hardiness, and is relatively fast growing. It is readily propagated from hardwood cuttings.Key words: Poplar, Shelterbelt tree improvement, cultivar description, Populus × Assiniboine
