Abstract
Inclusion of PRO-GRO at several levels in a gel seeding mixture delayed the emergence of onion cv. Southport White Globe. High rates of PRO-GRO affected the gel structure and significantly reduced seedling survival. PRO-GRO rates of 0.5 times the standard and above successfully controlled onion smut (Urocystis magica).Key words: gel seeding, systemic fungicide, Urocystis magica
