Abstract
The territories of large cities and their neighboring areas are subject to dynamic changes. The process of population movement from city centers to suburban areas has an impact on the economic structures of these areas. A significant portion of economic activity is reallocated with migrating residents to peripheral areas. The aim of the article is to assess the diversity of the urban sprawl entrepreneurship phenomenon in the metropolitan area of Kraków. Analysis has shown that the movement of enterprises related to the population migration takes place to the greatest extent in the zone directly adjacent to Kraków and the Tarnów influence zone. These communes create an attractive environment for residents and encourages them to locate their businesses within that territory. (original abstract)
