1. The previously unrecorded close positional association between the Hudson-Stahli line and recurrent erosion may imply either that the pathogenesis of the two is similar or that the Hudson-Stahli line is a causative factor in recurrent erosion. This may be a local epithelial abnormality. Alternatively it may be a localised expression of a generalised epithelial abnormality at this meeting point of epithelium migrating from the inferior and superior limbal palisades
