Abstract

Sclerotinia fungi are necrotrophic plant pathogens that can infect a wide range of plant species and persist in natural conditions. Sclerotinia nivalis is a recently reported species in Sclerotinia and can cause white rot on many plant species. We obtained the whole genome sequence of S. nivalis strain SnTB1 assembled from Oxford Nanopore reads and further polished with Illumina reads. This assembly consists of 32 contigs with a total length of 50.37 Mb, a contig N50 of 2.74 Mb, a GC content of 39.53%, and a repeat element content of 20.68%. In total, 13,276 candidate protein-coding genes were identified and functionally annotated, including those encoding glycometabolic enzymes, proteolytic enzymes, and potential effectors. This is the first available reference genome resource for S. nivalis. [Formula: see text] Copyright © 2023 The Author(s).
