Abstract
This chapter discusses the results of a qualitative research conducted at the Court of Venice, aimed identifying viable actions to maximize the added value of newly-introduced UPP officers. The analysis shows that the gradual insertion of the UPP officers allowed to clear out backlog work, as they could effectively act as pivots between judicial and registry offices’ activities. However, the added value they represent is not fully exploited, due to the lack of a shared interpretation of their role. The implementable actions identified can remedy these critical elements, as long as this temporary staff will be stabilized.
