Abstract

The present paper focuses, on the one side, on some theoretical and methodological issues regarding CLIL and, on the other side, on strategies, techniques, and instruments useful for teaching Italian to foreigners (making a distinction between foreign language and second language). After considering the value added of CLIL and comparing it to traditional ways, different contexts where to teach Italian to foreigners are analysed and at the same time strategies and good practices are highlighted to help create new paths for teaching Italian to foreigners.
