1. Susan M. Strawn is Assistant Professor in the Department of Apparel Design and Merchandising at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. She received her doctoral degree in textiles and clothing from Iowa State University. Her teaching and research interests include cultural and historical analysis of twentieth-century textiles and dress, artisan sustainability, and surface design of hand-produced textiles.
2. Mary A. Littrell received her doctoral degree from Purdue University and is Professor and Chair of the Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University. Her teaching and research scholarship focus on alternative/fair trade, marketing systems for cultural products, artisan enterprise performance and sustainability, tourism, and ethnographic textiles and dress. She is co-author, with Marsha A. Dickson, of Social Responsibility in the Global Market: Fair Trade of Cultural Products.
