Abstract
China is an ancient civilization with a history of five thousand years. In the process of cultural inheritance and development, Chinese language and literature are an important part of its inheritance and development, and also an important tool for cultural communication. Chinese language and literature contain a long history and cultural essence, carrying thousands of years of cultural knowledge, which is of great significance to cultural inheritance, and has also become the most critical way for people to understand Chinese culture. This paper expounds the significance of Chinese language and literature research on the inheritance and development of Chinese culture, studies the cultural connotation of Chinese language and literature, and enhances the soft power of culture, so as to further highlight the literary characteristics and inheritance value of Chinese language and literature.
