Human disorders like pneumoconiosis can be brought on by the dust and toxic materials created during the mining operation. The mining industry has a significant impact on water resources. Heavy metal components pollute water supplies, causing damage to flora along a chain of events. This review also examines the effects of mining on vegetation covering in the section on how it affects vegetation using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI).
