Study On Key Parameters of Fatigue Performance of Orthotropic Steel Bridge Deck

Abstract

In order to reduce the fatigue damage of steel bridge deck, fatigue design is very important. Taking the typical orthotropic steel bridge deck often used in design as the research object, the influence mechanism of different bridge deck structural parameters on fatigue performance was studied by nominal stress method. The results show that the fatigue performance of different fatigue hot spots is different. The most unfavorable fatigue hot spots are the arc notch of the diaphragm at the stiffener position and the weld junction between the diaphragm and the roof. Through reasonable optimization of structural parameters, the fatigue performance of bridge deck can be effectively improved.
