Abstract
AbstractMesial temporal sclerosis (MTS) stands out as a prevalent etiology of medically intractable temporal lobe epilepsy. Understanding the pathological alterations, clinical manifestations and risk factors of MTS is crucial for the recognition and suspicion of this condition. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive narrative review on the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and treatment options for MTS. By doing so, we aim to provide an up-to-date understanding of this condition.
