Abstract
Abstract
Background
Dermoid cysts are benign lesions commonly seen in the body’s midline, such as the orbit, oral cavity, and nose. They are rare in the head and neck and exceptionally rare in and around the auricle.
Case presentation
A case of postauricular dermoid cyst in a 28-year-old female patient is reported. The clinical features, diagnosis, and management of this rare clinical condition are reviewed.
Conclusion
A postauricular dermoid cyst is an extremely rare clinical condition; however, it should be considered in the differential diagnosis of any cystic lesion around the auricle.
