Abstract
North Carolina’s journey to value-based care substantially changes both care incentives and delivery, which requires buy-in from patients. Trust is a key enabler of patient acceptance. Steps to reduce complexity in language and increase understanding of insurance contracts may improve trust and patience experiences.
