Abstract

AbstractEver gazed at the stars and wondered if we’re alone? Scientists have been on a quest to find life beyond Earth, but no aliens yet. It’s tough because space is huge, and potential life is incredibly far away, making it difficult to detect their signals. Despite this, our ability to search is improving. We’ve found many planets around other stars, hinting at more places where life could be. But life, especially intelligent life, seems to be a rare occurrence, which makes our existence on Earth quite extraordinary. Recording our search for extraterrestrial life is crucial. It’s a way for future generations or even other civilizations to understand our era and our views of the cosmos. It also makes us reflect on our own behavior on Earth, hinting that insights from the search might help us coexist more harmoniously.
