Abstract
This study reflects the dynamics of fat absorption along the length of the small intestine in lean and obese mice in the physiological response to dietary fat. We identified unique features of cytoplasmic lipid droplets (CLDs) in the proximal, middle, and distal regions of the small intestine of lean and obese mice that may contribute to regional differences in dietary fat processing, absorption, or CLD metabolism.
