Abstract

Krypton 85 in solution was administered as a single rapid injection into the left ventricle in 11 human and 9 canine subjects. The myocardial clearance of the portion of injectate which entered the coronary system was sampled at the coronary sinus and coronary flow was derived from Kety's equation. A comparison with nitrous oxide or antipyrine-I131 coronary flows revealed a correlation coefficient of 0.86 ± 0.22 ( P = .005) with no statistically significant difference between paired samples.
