Abstract
It is concluded that epinephrine and norepinephrine affect urine formation in two ways: first, by increasing the arterial pressure which indirectly increases urinary output, and, second, by acting directly on the kidney to decrease the output. When the arterial pressure was held constant only the direct effect was evident. The results of other workers showing that there is no distinguishable difference in the actions of epinephrine and norepinephrine on the kidney were confirmed.
