Chemerin regulates glucose and lipid metabolism by changing mitochondrial structure and function associated with androgen/androgen receptor

Abstract

Decreased chemerin levels affect exercise-induced improvements in glycolipid metabolism in male mice by increasing mitochondrial number and function, which is likely mediated by androgen/androgen receptor expression. This study is the first to report the regulatory mechanism of chemerin in muscle mitochondria.
