Abstract
As traditional graphic ornament craft returns to the public’s attention, modern jewelry incorporating these ornaments has begun to emerge in the market, attracting significant interest. This paper combines traditional Chinese graphic ornamentation with modern jewelry design, employing hierarchical analysis to examine users and extract corresponding design elements. Parametric design is utilized to aid in contemporary jewelry modeling, and a parametric modeling generation system for modern jewelry, featuring design input, intelligent generation, and intelligent manufacturing as the main processes, is developed through software programming. Finally, design examples are used to verify the results. By incorporating traditional graphic ornament into jewelry design, the mean evaluation score for user preference across various dimensions ranges from 2.8826 to 3.3916, indicating that the design scheme is well-received and highly accepted. This study exemplifies the theory and method of applying traditional graphic ornament to modern jewelry design, providing a reference for similar designs.
