Abstract
Teachers’ information technology application ability plays a crucial role in the long-term sustainable and benign development of colleges and universities. Aiming at the problems of fuzzy C-mean (FCM) clustering algorithm in data mining technology, this paper proposes the FCM algorithm optimized by combining the Canopy algorithm and the density peak algorithm and applies it to detect the level of information technology application ability of teachers in colleges and universities. Taking the University of Q as the research object, the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fs QCA) was used to explore the multiple driving mechanisms behind teachers’ IT application ability and then to explore the strategies to improve teachers’ IT application ability. The results showed that teachers’ IT application competence as a whole basically showed a decreasing trend with the increase of teaching age, among which teachers with 4-6 years of teaching age had the strongest “planning and preparation competence (3.177)”. In addition, in the qualitative comparative analysis, the consistency of the selected condition variables ranged from 0.618 to 0.886, which was lower than the critical value of 0.9, suggesting that the enhancement of teachers’ IT application ability should be comprehensively considered in terms of the concurrent synergistic effect of multiple conditions. The study aims to promote the steady enhancement of teachers’ information technology application ability, which is helpful in achieving the goal of education informatization enhancement.
