During the multimedia era, the nurturing function of red culture has become an important hand in the development of patriotic education in colleges and universities. The use of factor analysis and gray correlation rules are used in this paper to analyze the influence of different forms of red culture on patriotism education. The relationship between red culture and patriotism education is obtained by calculating the common degree of variables of the influence of red culture on patriotism education, and the public factors in red culture are extracted by using the method of principal component analysis. Combined with the gray correlation to calculate the correlation coefficients of different red culture public factors on the content of patriotism education, and based on the correlation coefficients to judge the degree of influence of red culture factors on patriotism education. The results show that the correlation coefficient between red behavioral culture and moral outlook education is 0.89814, and the correlation coefficient between red behavioral culture and cultural education is 0.810615, which indicates that red behavioral culture is conducive to the shaping of students’ moral outlook and cultural outlook. Red spiritual culture has a deeper influence on moral outlook and cultural outlook in patriotism education, the corresponding correlation coefficients are 0.89117 and 0.86851 respectively, which indicates that red spiritual culture can provide spiritual power for the realization of the Chinese dream.
