Abstract

Summary The research aim was to identify the effect of using some plyometric exercises to improve muscular power (vertical jump) and digital achievement in high jump activity among third year’s students. The researchers used an experimental method in conformity with research nature between pre-tests and post-tests for the sample research. The sample was formed by students belonging to the physical education and sports institute, University of Mostaganem (Algeria) of the academic year 2018/2019. 40 students were chosen and divided into two groups (experimental 21 students, control 19 students). The vertical jump test of stability and digital achievement test were used. After the treatment of the results by statistical means and through these results, it has been reached several conclusions from them. Plyometric exercises are important to develop vertical jump and digital achievement level in high jump [discussion significant difference (p≤0.05)] among students, and the best improvement of the experimental group based on plyometric exercises is marked comparing to the control group.
