The authors present a miniseries of two clinical cases of bilateral diaphragmatic paralysis, of different etiologies, which provide the opportunity to discuss the particularities of the clinical manifestations, the paraclinical investigations necessary to establish a positive diagnosis, the elements of differential diagnosis, the general therapeutic principles addressed to respiratory failure secondary to diaphragmatic paralysis.
