Abstract
This article explores the implementation of EU funds in the 2014-2020 period of the Cohesion Policy, providing a broad perspective on how Member States have managed and applied these resources to reduce economic and social disparities. In a context where EU cohesion policy has adapted to economic and social changes, we analyse its evolution, management structures and the impact of investments on regional development. Through a review of the literature, we examine how researchers have approached this theme, from implementation structures to the concrete impact on communities. This article also aims to provide an insight into the lessons learnt over the period and explore their implications for future EU cohesion policies.
