Crystal structure of diammonium succinate (NH4)2C4H4O4

Abstract

Abstract The crystal structure of the monoclinic diammonium succinate (NH4)2C4H4O4 was determined at 301 K. The space group is P21/c with Z = 2 and a = 3.897(1) Å, b = 7.819(1) Å, c = 11.945(2) Å, β = 92.88(2)°, V = 363.5(1) Å3, calculated and experimental density Dx = 1.390(1) g/cm3 and D exp = 1.387(7) g/cm3. The crystals show a perfect cleavage along (10[unk]), parallel to the structural layers.
