The β-Sn dual structure: a 4-connected net based on a packing of simple polyhedra with 18 faces

Abstract

Abstract The 4-connected net derived by placing vertices in the tetrahedral holes of the β-Sn structure is described in its maximum volume conformation with equal edge lengths. The vertices correspond to the vertices of a space filling packing of simple polyhedra with 18 faces (32 vertices). The net is less dense than that of the least dense of known zeolites.
