Abstract
Two N-substituted phenylene diamines, C30H28N2S2O4 (I) and C30H28N2S2O5 (II), have been synthesized, and characterized by spectroscopic and single crystal X-ray analyses. Intermolecular N—H···O and C—H···O hydrogen bonds link the molecules of (I) into centrosymmetric dimers, which are further joined by C—H···O hydrogen bonds to form one-dimensional polymeric chain propagating along the [100] direction. The two molecules, A and B, in the asymmetric unit of (II) are connected by a pair of N—H···O hydrogen bonds forming a characteristic R
