Abstract
Aim: to study the results of surgical treatment of central diabetes insipidus and panhypopitoriourism. Materials and methods: The medical records of patients operated on at the Clinical Center for Andrology and Endocrine Organ Transplantation were studied. All patients underwent allotransplantation of the pituitary gland or hypothalamic-pituitary complex on vascular connections. The maximum follow-up period of patients was 18 years. Results: In all patients in the postoperative period, positive dynamics was noted, manifested in a decrease in thirst and diuresis, an improvement in general condition with an increase in the specific gravity of urine. Conclusions: As a result of the study, it was once again confirmed that in the absence of the effect of conservative therapy, patients with central diabetes insipidus and panhypopituarism are recommended for transplantation of pituitary gland or hypothalamic-pituitary complex on vascular connections. In the postoperative period, all patients should be prescribed immunosuppressive therapy and local X-ray irradiation.
