Abstract

Abstract Museum specimens of European Astacidae, Austropotamobius fulcisianus, Austropotamobius pallipes italicus (Italian A. fulcisianus in the present study), and A. torrentium are observed, their description, diagnosis, and illustration provided. Morphometry of the type series of A. fulcisianus in Italy are analyzed and the taxonomic status of Austropotamobius crayfish in northern Italy is examined.
