Wear-out Effect of Construction Equipment and Hand Tools on Workers’ Labor Conditions

Abstract

The need to assess the impact of construction equipment and hand tool wear and tear on worker’s labor conditions in the construction industry as the most traumatic economic activity has been identified and justified in this paper. The cause-and-effect relationship between the three main types of wear and tear and the labor conditions has been considered and the probability of accident risks due to equipment and tool wear and tear has been characterized as well. It has been proved that physical wear and tear to be the main reason for injuries.
