Abstract

The physical foundations of the conversion of electrical energy into plasma energy are described on the basis of modern ideas about the interactions of plasma with an electromagnetic field; considered electrical circuits, including arc discharges of direct and alternating current, sets forth the basics of plasma electrodynamics with the introduction of the concepts of frequency and spatial dispersion; The characteristics of electric arc plasmatrons of various designs and plasma electrical technologies implemented in modern industrial equipment are analyzed. Meets the requirements of the latest generation of federal higher education standards. For students of higher educational institutions, studying in the direction of training "Power and Electrical Engineering". The publication may be useful to students, undergraduates, graduate students and specialists in plasma technology.
