Abstract

The monograph presents the results of research in the framework of a new scientific area - information network geography, aimed at understanding the territorial organization of the information society. The key concepts and basic methods are presented, the processes of deployment, diffusion, regionalization and structuring of information and communication networks are analyzed, the network effects of frontierity, multi-vectorness, curvature and coherence are given. On the example of cities and regions of Russia, the possibilities of implementing the results in the digital economy, the allocation of clusters, Tactile Internet and geopolitical programs are shown. Perspectives associated with “big data”, artificial intelligence, multiservice networks and problems of the information society are highlighted. The publication is intended for professionals, students and graduate students.
