Abstract

The article is devoted to studying the possibility of collecting operationally significant information from open sources. The prospects for introducing a method for obtaining information from open sources of information on the Internet are explored. The purpose of the study is determined by the need to improve this in identifying and solving crimes. The main stages of collecting publicly available information are considered, and the criteria for its evaluation are determined. The conclusion is drawn about the importance of using the method in question when obtaining operationally significant information.
