Verification of a computational model of a voltage transformer for the study of ferroresonance processes in distribution electrical networks

Abstract

Methodology for parameterization of voltage transformer model was developed. Verification of the model is carried out by comparing the nameplate data of the transformer with the results of computer calculations. The magnetization branch parameters are determined by the nameplate values, such as magnetization current and the residual magnetization of the voltage transformer’s magnetic circuit. In conclusion voltage error and the angular error are estimated in terms of the amplitude values and the root-mean-square values of voltage curve for transformer type «NOL-SECH-20». Calculations were carried out with the help of EMTP-RV software.
