Abstract
AbstractMigrants are more likely, earlier and more severely affected by type 2 diabetes than the native population. Prevalence, incidence and mortality in this population group, whose proportion of the total population continues to grow, are increased by a factor of 2 – even stronger depending on ethnicity, country of origin, gender and socio-economic conditions. This makes it necessary to pay special attention to this group.
