AbstractDespite treatment options of cancer patients have been improved, the treatment of complications is usually very complex and often includes intensive care unit admission. Infections play a major role here. Risk patients and factors, timely detection of infections and septic states, diagnostic options and treatment options in the management of these cancer patients will be presented in this paper.
