Abstract

In certain situations it may not be possible to undertake a ‘face-to-face’ clinical hospital consultation. This comment provides a brief guide to undertaking an effective telephone hospital consultation that evolved during the current coronavirus outbreak while delivering a trauma and orthopaedic outpatient service.
