Abstract

Abstract A child with acute leukemia in an apparent hematologic remission who succumbed to the complications arising from extensive leukemic infiltration of the gastrointestinal tract is reported. This cannot be explained by any unique anatomical properties of the circulation, such as have been proposed for central nervous system infiltration under similar circumstances.
