Abstract

Abstract Bone marrow aspirates from 12 patients with malignant hematologic disorders and abnormal bone marrow karyotypes were used to establish in vitro fibroblast cultures. The karyotypes of such fibroblasts were consistently normal. This finding is at variance with results presented by others. The origin of bone marrow-derived fibroblasts remains obscure.
