Abstract

The article presents a study of the current state of the architecture of research stations in the Russian Arctic. The purpose of the article is to study and evaluate the current state of the architecture of the NIS in the Russian Arctic, and raise the question of the need for work to upgrade and replace dilapidated buildings. The article presents the dynamics of the opening of stations, reveals the ratio of closed structures and those that continue to work. The article also gives an assessment of new stations in terms of the requirements of modern Arctic architecture. In conclusion, the author's design proposals are presented that solve the issue of updating research stations.
